The Learners’ University, also known as the University of the Learners’ (UoLearners’), is India’s first and one of the world’s earliest fully remote, futuristic, non-traditional and non-profit universities, initiated in 2023 by the Universal Digital Education Initiatives towards accessible digital education for all aligned to SDG 4, to redefine higher education in the digital age. Built on the principles of accessibility, flexibility, and innovation, the university empowers learners from every corner of the globe to pursue quality education without the constraints of physical campuses or traditional boundaries. The Learners’ University is a member of the Association of Digital Universities, the Association of Digital Education Institutions and the Association of Digital Education Providers.
As a pioneering remote institution, the Learners’ University integrates cutting-edge digital learning environments, immersive virtual classrooms, and a global network of scholars to ensure that students receive an engaging, holistic, and future-ready education. Here, learning adapts to the learner, supporting diverse goals, schedules, and learning styles while fostering meaningful connections and community across distances. An interesting fact about the Learners’ University (UoLearners’) is that it is run by thousands of volunteers globally, who give their services for the cause of the humanities.
With its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and lifelong growth, Learners’ University stands at the forefront of the next generation of education, transforming access to knowledge for all.

Note: Presently, in 2025-2026, the Learners’ University (UoLearners’) has refrained from issuing any academic degrees. But it dedicated itself to the goal of accessible digital education for all and community-led research activities in critical areas.
